Four Canadian climbers have set a fantastic new national record
by, erm, hitting a load of golf balls off the peak of the country's
highest mountain, Mount Logan.
The four reportedly carried a driver to the summit of North
America's second highest peak after one of them, bought the club 'on
the spur of the moment' in Whitehorse, Yukon. They carried it around
for around 18 days before finally summiting Logan despite
encountering fierce winds that forced around 14 other teams to turn
back.
We say forget extreme ironing, high altitude golf just has to be
the next big cutting edge sport. How long before we see Tiger Woods
teeing off from the summit of Everest. Oh, the guys over at GOLFmagic
are going to love this...
Don't believe it's true? Well, it is according to this.
Small print: Yes, we know, you can tell it's
summer cos the real news is thin on the ground, but what the hell
