Outdoors-Specific Fitness Site Rocks

It's surprisingly hard to find detailed fitness and training information that relates directly to the outdoors, but the bodyresults.com web site goes some way towards filling the gap.

It's an American venture aimed specifically at walkers and climbers that's packed with climbing- and trekking-specific training information and suggestions including specific training programmes, for, say, conditioning for the alpine climbing season.

There's also more general information including a look at a small number of specific mountains including Denali and Kilimnajaro, plus if you're feeling particularly motivated and are flush, you can shell out around $45 per month for a personalised web training programme.

One of the best, and in fact the only, mountain-specific fitness sites we've come across. Take a look at www.bodyresults.com, we reckon you'll be adding it to your favourites. Thanks to TGO for alerting us to the existence of this excellent site.

Do you no longer read Outside Jon? I seem to remember this website was highlighted in the last Bodyworks feature (which I bet is where TGO got it from)
