Want to try a brand new Haglofs Shark Pro Gore-tex Windstopper
Softshell jacket and keep it for free?
Okay, here's the deal. Every year Haglöfs runs a 'Test Pilot
Project' right across Europe and North America recruiting normal,
real people to use and give feedback on their latest
products.
Last year, for example, 15 Uk testers were selected from around
600 applicants to try out the new, Stretch XCR Climber Motion
technical shell and this spring another load of lucky applicants are
going to be swanning around in featherlite new LIM Ultimate paclite
jackets.
Try A Shark...
Well, the latest 'Test Pilot Project' is for Haglöfs latest
Shark Pro Windstopper Soft Shell jacket that's not due out till later
this year. We've actually got a pre-production Shark Pro for test so
we can tell you a little bit abou it and how it performs:
First it uses a two new version of Gore's windproof Windstopper
fabric with a heavier duty, more abrasion resistant version on the
arms, shoulders and at the sides, so unlike some 'soft shells' it
feels reassuringly tough and protective. The thicker than average
lining fabric, some of it is a microfleece, also adds insulation
value.
Cut is neat and technical with water-resistant zips all round.
That includes the main zip, two pit-zips and a pair of big chest come
handwarmer pockets. There's also a luxurious microfleece-lined
adjustable collar. Lots of other nice touches too like seamless
shoulders and single-handed adjusters for hem and collar plus
articulated sleeves.
So far it seems like a rather nice jacket and we'll being you a
full test in due course. In the mean time, if you'd like to try it
for yourself, just click on the box to the right of this article, the
one that says 'Become A Haglöfs Test Pilot' and sign yourself
up... Good luck.
