Pity the poor mutt ... While you're togged up in all manner of
highly breathable, windproof wonder fabrics, your canine companion
has had to make do with a fleecy coat of matted fur or, at best, a
low breathability, PU-coated shell jacket.
Well not any more, a barking mad (sorry) Swedish company has come
up with the ultimate in doggy outdoor gear as the soft shell
revolution catches up with canines. The OBTRACK Skrylle Dog Coat uses
Polartec's highly technical Power Shield fabric, which is 98 per-cent
windproof, but offers increased breathability as a pay-off.
Like all technical softshell, cut is crucial and the good news is
that doing it doggy style - sorry - is just as good. The Dog Coat V
features innovative shoulder-width regulators and an adjustable waist
belt enabling the coat to be adjusted to the size of your dog. There
are also elasticatic cuffs for the hind legs ensuring that the fit is
comfortable and snug in a variety of positions.
And because dogs come in a variety of different shapes and
dimensions, there are no less than 18 different sizes available.
So what's the cost of kitting out your faithful friend in the
latest soft shell finery? Prices start at £45 or around 65 Euros
and you can find them online at www.obtrack.com.
We're trying to get one in for extended doggy evaluation, so watch
