Superlight Sac For Super Hot Weather

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

Berghaus's rucksac pixies - Hi Tim! - have been hard at work for the last year with some massive revisions to their non-technical sacs to complement the updated Extrem range that's just hit the shops.

We'll tell you more next week - the Dart is no more as of 2004 for example - but the centrepiece of the collection is the new Freeflow Light pack.

Based on the hot-weather friendly Freeflow trampolene-type airspace back system, the new Light is approximately 40 per-cent lighter and aimed at the weight-saving zealot who still wants to keep a cool back.

Detailing is very neat. The back sytem uses a geodesic type carbon fibre cradle for lightness, has various cut-aways including one in the hip-belt and a pocket in the lid.

It's simple, it's light and we reckon it's a nice bit of kit. Price is £65... More on Berghaus's sacs next week including the new 49zer0, you'll never guess how much it weighs...
