A quick reminder for southern, shandy-drinking, softies that the
Daily Telegraph Adventure Travel and Sports Show hits London's
Olympia at the end of this week.
The show runs from Friday 16 January through to Sunday 18 January
and combines stands from a host of adventure travel operators and
associated companies with a three-day programme of talks from a range
of travellers. There's also a Wanderlust Travel Advice Theatre where
expert travellers will be dolling out, well, travel advice
really.
Exhibitors cover the whole travel spectrum from Lonely Planet to
Visit Hebrides, plus you can chat to the guys from Global Adventure
and Wanderlust magazines. Speakers include the legendary Doug Scott,
serial guide book writer Kev Reynolds, National Geographic Presenter,
Hayden Turner, Bear Grylls, Dea Birkett - travelling with kids -
Benedict Allen and, erm, someone called Tarquin Cooper. Is anyone
really called 'Tarquin' these days? No offence...
Opening times are:
Friday 16 January 2004 - 12am - 6pm
Saturday 17 January 2004 - 10am - 6pm
Sunday 18 January 2004 - 10am - 6pm
Tickets are £8.00 in advance of £10.00 on the door and
the advance booking includes a voucher for £5.00 off a
subscription to Wanderlust, should you want such a thing. You can
either book online at the show
website or phone 0870 0600 199.
