Funny the things you come across while browsing obscure industry
web sites, well, not me exactly - Grangers, the Gore-approved
manufacturer of all things you need to clean and maintain your
clothing, tents and footwear, have decided to take the concept of
personal cleanliness a stage further.
Yep, their latest venture is apparently set to be something called
'Sharp Curve', 'a handy travel pack containing a body wash, body
spray, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and foot lotion.'
Apparently the new toiletries, or should we say, body maintenance
products, boast a 'refreshing unisex fragrance' as well as 'advanced
skin-care technology' and come in a practical fabric carry bag.
This is of course old news to those of us who've long washed under
our armpits with Extreme Cleaner Plus - the smell-killing ingredient
works just fine - and moisturised assiduously with Suede and Nubuck
Restorer, which is definite must for anyone with leathery skin, but
it's nice to see the company recognising the potential.
We've also tried reproofing using Extreme Proofer, but the
complexities of getting into a tumble drier for long enough to
activate the DWR polymer chains have proved insurmountable, mainly
due to longterm hair damage...
Footwear Too
More prosaically, Grangers has also launched a new water-based
collection of footwear care products to complement it's existing
aerosol line. Comprising a cleaner, conditioner and protector, they
use a sponge applicator and can be applied to wet or dry
footwear.
