Tom Cruise To 'Hike Up Everest'

Overseas news in association with
Inghams

According to a couple of move web sites, action man actor Tom Cruise is going to attempt Everest once he's finished filming Mission Impossible III.

Cruise, who is known for preparing meticulously for his roles and likes to do his own stunts, started climbing as preparation for the opening sequence of the original Mission Impossible film and has since become a bit of a rock jock in his spare time.

Now it seems he want to tackle the biggy. According to reports, the actor says "Every little boy's dream to climb Everest. I believe I can make that dream become a reality."

The $50,000 odd cost of the expedition would be peanuts to Cruise who probably earns enough from one film to buy most of Nepal, but we can't decide whether it's life imitating art or art imitating life or, erm, well, it's 'mission impossible' isn't it? Let's hope he can tell the difference.

More at the Internet Movie Database at www.imdb.com.
