The new Berghaus Bioflex C7 Pro rucksac has won an ISPO
Outdoor Award for best hardwear product innovation in the European
outdoor industry.
The
awards are presented at the annual European outdoors trade show at
Munich in Germany and are much sought after within the industry. The
judges look for innovation, function, quality, technical solutions,
user friendliness, ease of operation and design and were apparently
mucho impressed by the C7 Pro with its radical new Bioflex back
system.
Bioflex - see our recent initial user
impressions - is a back sytem and harness that allows pack and
the body to flex and pivot as you move, unlike conventional big packs
which tend to restrict your mobility. We found it worked like nothing
else we've tried and it looks like the ISPO judges agreed with
us.
Head
of product at Berghaus Richard Leedham comments:'A tremendous amount
of time and effort has gone into producing the Bioflex range and
receiving the ISPO award is testament to a fantastic team of people
that have been behind the scenes. Bioflexhas already received
outstanding reviews and feedback from the outdoor industry and we
believe it will significantly influence the concept and design of
backpacking sacs for years to come.'
BioFlex is
used throughout the new C7 series of backpacking sacs. At the top of the
range is the C7 Pro sac incorporating BioFlex along with
Berghaus Dry Fusion waterproof seam technology, EVABreathe foam, a
moulded occipital cavity, finger grip, breather hip fins and
materials such as Dupont Cordura 700D. The C7 Pro sac is
available in men's and women's versions and has a Suggested
Retail Price (SRP) of £180. BioFlex also features in the C7 2
sacs for men and women (SRP £130) and the C7 1 sacs for men and
women (SRP £100).
