Al Lee's New Show At Rheged

Just a quick heads up for Alastair Lee's new show 'Storms of Laughter' which will be on at the Rheged Lecture Theatre in the northern Lakes next Friday 6, May.

We could explain who Alastair is - film maker, stand-up performer, photographer, Lancastrian person - but he thoughtfully provided his own copy, so here it is - we had to add some hyphens, but the rest is his:

'Rising star of the climbing lecture circuit satirical stand up Alastair Lee presents a one-hour comic skit spectacular. Mallory summit shots, cutting-edge issues (gays in the outdoors), competition climbing and the mountain press are all lambasted without remorse.

'Clips from the award-winning film (People's Choice - Kendal Mountain Film Festival, Jury's Award - Vancouver Mountain Film Festival) 'Twice Upon a Time in Bolivia' and lashings of jaw dropping photography are all inclusive in this entertaining, or if it goes really well, hilarious performance. NB There is some adult content in the show, so please leave your parents at home. You have been warned!'

The show starts at 8 pm and tickets are ten quid, get them by calling 01768 868 000. More information about the venue at www.rheged.com and more about Alastair on the Posing Productions site.
