Brasher Rescues Ronan

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

In true Hello! magazine stylee we can reveal that Brasher has saved the gorgeous, pouting feet of legendary warbling Irish pop star Ronan Keating from a fate worse than death.

Apparently Ronan - the quavering voice that launched a thousand boy bands - is off on a 22-day fundraising trek around Ireland to raise money for the Marie Keating Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

Heart-throb Keating and crew had managed only 40 miles of their mega-trek starting from the Giant's Cuseway, when Ronan complained that his socks were wet with perspiration. Fortunately Mid Antrim Camping was at hand and following advice from the staff there, Keating resumed his trek kitted out with 12 pairs of Brasher's two-season socks.

We're not going to bring up the old joke about the Irish man who followed advice to put on a clean pair of socks every day only to find that he couldn't get his feet into his boots by the end of the week, because that would be crass.

Nick Alexander from Mid Antrim Camping told Hello!, sorry, OUTDOORSmagic, that "Brasher's 2 season sock was the ideal solution to Ronan's problem. They're ideal for light hiking and walking in the warmer seasons and contain Coolmax to wick moisture away from the foot while the air channels in the socks assist in keeping the foot dry and cool. He seemed very happy with the products we sold him and I can guarantee he won't be suffering any more with sweaty feet as he walks his way around the country!"

Another member of Ronan's entourage - great word, entourage - splashed out on a brand new pair of Brasher boots after his original boots reduced his feet to a mass of blisters...

Well done Ronan and good luck with your walk. Next week, we visit Brian Blessed in his lovely house and talk to his cat about love, personal grooming and tuna.

Poor little Ronan, did you have to be so harshly sarcastic on the little chap?

Of course you did.
