Extra Hinkes Date For Rheged

A while back we told you about Alan Hinkes' lectures at the National Mountaineering Exhibition at Rheged in Cumbria.

Well, the bad news is that the first two dates on 1 and 2 July are sold out, but a third date has been added on Sunday 3, July for which there are still tickets available at £15 each plus £6 if you want to order a pre-bookable supper beforehand.

The lecture will be pretty much the first opportunity to see Alan talking about his ascent of Kangchenjunga, which he described as the hardest climb of his life and which makes him the first Briton to climb all the 8,000-ers.

Rheghed is also currently hosting a special exhibition about Kangchenjunga which was first climbed 50 years ago by Britons Joe Brown and George Band.

More details and booking information about the Hinkes lecture here or see www.rheged.com
