Lakes Cams On Your Mobile

More technology with the news that the burgeoning Lake District web empire has gone mobile, or maybe that should be 'been mobilised'...

Do what? The web cam images from the WasdaleWeb, LangdaleWeb and ButtermereWeb - once it's ready - are now available on a WAP-enabled phone, so, for example, you could pause on a trip up to the Lakes and select the destination with the clearest skies. Or wistully indulge in self-torture if you're stranded in an office of course... The web address for your phone's browser is www.mobilewasdaleweb.co.uk

A propos of which, LangdaleWeb now has two cams online. One pointed at Pavey Ark and the other at Harrison Stickle. Right now we can tell you that things were looking pretty nice yesterday afternoon, but doubtless things will be up and running again soon.
