NEW Vasco Jacket - Unisex Directional Waterproof jacket for multi-activities - biking, climbing, running, hill walking, scrambling, adventure racing...

The latest multi-activity garment from Páramo with advanced ventilation features provides high performance in the widest range of activities. Climbing and cycling friendly, this jacket offers intelligent design combined with a contemporary, contoured look and fit.

The Vasco has all the acclaimed advantages that come with a Nikwax Analogy Waterproof that make for exceptional comfort. More than just breathable, the fabric doesn't just hold water back (waterproof) or passively pass moisture vapour (breathe) but actively 'Direct' liquid water away from you. So you get superior weather protection and comfort, as the Vasco will pump away the sweat you produce, whatever the temperature and humidity.

As a bonus with a Directional Waterproof you get:

Soft but very strong fabric
Silence - no rustle and crunch!
Immunity to puncture - puncture will not lead to leakage
Durability - no membranes to fracture or crack over time
Renewability - performance can be indefinitely renewed with Nikwax products

The Vasco's features in detail:

• Less prone to abrasion or damage through reversed zips. Front zip provides 'two-phase' venting option.
• Fully adjustable, wired, low profile hood - detachable or with multi-option collar storage.
• Maximum freedom of movement and increased comfort provided by articulated shoulders and sleeves.
• Less flap and weight through reduced arm volume.
• Adjustable venting and temperature control through upper arm vents.
• Temperature control and weather protection from our multi-adjust low bulk cuff design, also allows sleeves to be rolled up for cooling.
• Excellent weather protection in all conditions from 2” drip skirt and scooped tail.
• Single-handed hem drawcord pulls help eliminate rucking when load carrying and retain body warmth when required.
• Reflective piping front, back and sides.
• Single-handed 'on the move' cuff adjustment provided by the 'BiteTab' closure.
• Adjustable back venting.
• Two handwarming/ storage chest pockets, zipped with hook and loop secure flaps.
• Additional internal mesh secure pocket.
• Tough polyester microfibre outer fabric with Nikwax Analogy Directional pump liner, treated with Nikwax TX.Direct®

Sizes: XS (in Lavender/navy only) S, M, L, XL, XXL
Colours: Fire/black, Cobalt/black, Silver/black, Lavender/navy
Average weight: 795g including hood

What some users say about our multi-activity jackets

“The Velez outperforms any other jacket I've ever used - comfortable to wear in arduous conditions: jumping into cold waterfalls, running through mountain fells, cycling through torrential rain, oh and walking to pubs. It looked good and remained extremely functional in all situations.” - Keith Longney UK top Quadathlete

“Fantastic parcel of gear arrived today. The Velez smock is exactly the kind of top I was looking for - quiet, flexible in use and incredibly comfy- can't wait to try the whole system in the Lakes soon.” - Guy Proctor

“Packing for multi-day adventure racing is not easy - weight vs necessity. With the Velez I ditched a thermal and Fleece layer. When my thermal was wet after a water section I pulled on my Velez and the wicking capability dried it out no problems - brilliant!” - Colin Hill

“The Velez now has a place in my rucksack in all my adventure races and guiding work. I am still constantly impressed with the high breathability and fast drying time. The cuffs system, slim cut, light-weight and small bulk all go to make the jacket much better in use and when I have to carry it" - Jamie Carr

“I was instantly attracted to this jacket, realising how practical it would be in a wide variety of situations. Wearing it I am struck by the freedom it affords- partly because of the design, like the sleeves that allow a full range of movement without the jacket riding up and the shortness of the front which doesn't hinder climbing or cycling, but also because it feels so light and cool.

Wearing it over a wicking T shirt and pair of shorts, I went Ghyll Scrambling. There was a lot of water coming down the ghyll but at no time did I feel uncomfortable and I was amazed how quickly the Cuzco dried out when I emerged at the top. At the end of the day it looked as pristine as if it had never been worn. It's a go anywhere, do anything jacket, and probably the smartest I'm ever likely to wear!” - Sue Lee

“Just a quick note to say how pleased I am with my Velez Jacket. As a keen mountain biker and Lake District inhabitant, the jacket makes perfect sense. In fact the whole Páramo thing is a real revelation to me, after years of crunchy waterproofs. I left a few people open-mouthed at the office too, when I demonstrated the jacket's water repellency.” - David Calway

“I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your product. My Velez Smock has served extremely well whether I've been mountain biking, hiking, canoeing or simply walking the dog! It's been warm and cool when required but more importantly always kept me dry as a bone.” - Mark Willis

“Congratulations on your splendid kit - it's a revelation! Once Autumn sets in I wouldn't think about getting on my mountain bike without wearing my Velez Smock, it really is superb!” - Michael Reddish
