Some interesting news from Rab's sister company
outdoordesigns which is best known for gloves, hats and, until
now, bivvy bags.
Previously
the company used Gore-Tex fabrics, but as of this spring - which is
now - they've switched to eVENT waterproof and breathable material
instead, which brings them into line with Rab.
In cases where the brand previously used Gore Windstopper - mainly
in gloves - it's now going to use Polartech's Windbloc fabric. Just
to confuse you, the new fabrics won't actually be introduced until
September.
One outdoordesigns product that is available right now is
a brand new eVENT gaiter called the perma - pictured right.
It's a three-layer, front-opening gaiter with a full-length zip and
rubberised underfoot, abrasion-resistant strap. The good news is that
the perma retails for just £20, which looks pretty attractive to
us.
