Caring for technical clothing gets a
bit more straightforward with the news that Grangers has developed an
all-in-one cleaner, proofer and de-ponger.
Grangers General Manager and treatment guru Karolina Jones has
scooped a special award for the new Two in One treatment as well,
with the Special Acknowledge Certificate in the recent British Female
Inventor and Innovator of the Year (BFI) Awards.
The new 'Two In One' combines a soap-based technical cleaner which
also incorporates a wash-in water-proofing treatment and an odour
eliminator for good measure. Once available, it'll mean technical
waterproofs no longer have to be washed and then re-proofed in two stages,
it'll be a single application saving time and electricity in the
process.
Karolina is justifiably chuffed with the award and says "I am
delighted to have received this acknowledgment on behalf of
Grangers." She added: "I like to think that the mixture of
technological expertise, invention, innovation and women's enterprise
and creativity is indeed a heady cocktail and a powerful one that can
only benefit the country's economic performance."
Right now 'Two in One' is only available in the US where they
desperately need help cleaning their waterproofs, but it's set to
come to the UK in June and will be priced at around £10.
One thought though, what is Karolina doing in the kitchen?
