The North Face has added three new sleeping bags to its range this spring: the Pyxis, the Orion and the Scorpio. They are all PrimaLoft filled, for water-repellency, and built as 2/3 season bags. With temperature ratings ranging from -5C (Pyxis) to 9C (Scorpio) these are designed with summer camping in mind, rather than for high altitude or out-of-season use. In fact, they're even billed as "family festival" bags, hitting the shelves ready for the summer festival season. If that doesn't put you off though, they pack down fairly small for their temperature rating, and won't weigh you down too much, if you're out walking this summer.
The three sleeping bags all come in two sizes - regular and long - so you don't have to carry a foot of Primaloft you don't need, or fight for space with the end of the sleeping bag. And one more fact; you can machine wash and even tumble dry them after an outing.
