Regatta - or Regaaarta for those in the know - are
launching a range of eyewear, or what you or I would call
'sunglasses'.
The range includes 36 styles in three categories; sports, fashion
and safety. Apparently they're dead up to the minute and combine
comfort, style and safety to erm, 'ensure that outdoor enthusiasts
are always ahead of the game - wherever the adventures may
lead'.
The sport range, which is what most OMers will, of course, be
looking at, features 15 designs ranging from wraparounds to 'edgy,
sharp-angled frames' and uses tough polycarbonate lenses for high
impact protection.
At least one option, the catchily named RGS90, offers four
interchangeable lenses for varying light conditions, which is nice.
We'll gloss over 'fashion', but the 'safety' range also includes
designs aimed at walkers and cyclists.
All the glasses give full UV protection, are produced with
shatterproof materials for active use and conform to European
standards. Priced between £10 and £40, you won't be weeping
into your glasses case if you do accidentally trash a pair either,
which is where the likes of Oakleys tend to fall down in the real
world.
You can get details of local stockists from Eyewear Europe on 0161
292 7927. But for now, here are some more glasses. And really, they
look pretty decent at the price...
