As Brasher moves its footwear up the mountain, La Sportiva
- best known for its rock shoes and technical mountaineering boots -
is moving further down for 2007.
The Trango LIte in both mid and low versions for next year
is an approach / walking boot that the company hopes will appeal to
those already using the brand for climbing. Priced at
£120, it gets an EVA cushioned midsole unit and a sticky rubber outsole for enhanced grip plus the shape is based on the proven technical Trango last, so they should feel good on the rock.
The new shoe also borrows from running shoe technology with an
anti-pronation zone built into the boot. Colours look, erm,
interesting with a choice between a light caramel and fudge-hued
creation and an astonishingly impractical looking white and light
grey concoction. Those funky Europeans eh...
