My Dog Has Vibram Paws...

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

It's all gone a little bit Friday afternoon with the news that Ruffwear has launched running shoes for dogs complete with Vibram soles for this autumn.

Dogs have a double issue with paw wear and soreness as well as lack of grip on some slippery surfaces and the new Bark 'n Boots Grip Trex tackle both with grippy Vibram rubber tackling the traction problem and a durable nylon upper protection paws.

We saw a set of the doggy boots at a recent trade show and they look ace with a nice, well-made feel to them.

The sole uses Vibram's non-marking TC1 rubber, which was developed for water sports use, there's a Dura Spasa toe cap and mud-guard section, air mesh uppers, pigskin cuffs which grip the leg and a super cinch closure strap to keep the boots in place. There's even reflective trim for night use.

The boots come in red or blue and different sizes to cater for paw widths between two inches and 3.75 inches. They won't be available in store until October and price is £50 for a full set.
