Primus Launches Headtorch Range For Winter

Gear news in association with

Stove experts Primus have moved into the headtorch market this autumn with a a range of four PrimeLite LED headtorches aimed at walkers and climbers.

Top of the range is the PrimeLite Adventure which uses a 1-watt Luxeon LED with a claimed 75-metre range when used at full power. There are five power settings on the torch allowing it to be used for anything from campsite cuisine through to night navigation.

It also has a removable 3xAA battery pack for cold weather use - keep the battery in your pocket for added warmth - a low battery warning level indicator, red bulb options to retain night vision, is impact resistant, waterproof to one metre and, says Primus, has buttons which are easily useable with gloves.

In common with other torches in the new range, the Adventure comes complete with a 'light bag' for in-tent illumination, from what Primus say, the bag diffuses and softens the light for a luxurious camping lighting experience.

The top of the range Adventure retails at £50 with the remainder of the range costing less, doh. We confidently predict classic Swedish thoroughness, so they should be worth a look if you're in the market for head-mounted illumination this winter.

You can find full specs of the PrimeLite range at www.primus.se
