Win A Paramo Fuera Smock

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

So much kit on the market; so little money to buy it...

Yep, we've all had that problem, but we always have a few freebies on the go on OM to help you bag a free jacket, or rucksack, or even a pair of socks. The latest give-away to hit our competition page is a Paramo Fuera Smock, worth £50, courtesy of independent outdoor store Stewart R Cunningham.

The Fuera's a windproof, water-repellent smock for days on the hill when you aren't expecting a deluge but could do with a bit of protection from the wind and light drizzle. Jon had one on test last autumn and his verdict was ....

"It's not the lightest windproof out there, but we reckon that the Fuera Smock offers a great blend of weight, packability, weather protection and durability and we'd take it over the old Fuera Jacket every time. Ideal for anything from walking through to running, climbing and biking with a decent cut and good breathability and, we reckon it should be okay with pack use, though we'll update if we manage to destroy it... Good, solid kit."

Read the full review here or put your name in the hat to win the Fuera Smock by answering the straightforward question: 'what is the highest mountain in the UK?' Easy as a Mod on a top rope:-)

Paramo Fuera Smock

We have a few other competitions on the go too. If you haven't yet entered your name in the draw for a Vango TBS Spirit 200 Lite tent and Venom 225 Sleeping Bag, worth £280, then it's not too late - just fill in your details here along with the names of two tents in the Vango Mountain range.

You can also win £2000 Of Free Flights if a trip to the Rockies or the Southern Alps takes your fancy, or a Royal Robbins outfit worth £95 courtesy of Active Travel Apparel. Finally, don't forget our Photo of the Month competition which runs every month - just upload your photo in the OM gallery and whichever receives the most votes wins. There are five pairs of Bridgedale Trekker socks up for grabs.

That's the full haul for the moment, but we update the competition page regularly, so keep checking for future freebies.
