Quo Pro Winners Announced

Ordnance Survey Maps

We told you back in November that we had nearly £1000 of Quo Pro mapping software to give away, from newcomers to the market Mapyx. The package includes ordnance survey maps, aerial photography, route planning tools, and lots of other gizmos and gadgets to keep the technologically-minded happy. It even impressed OM Routes Editor, Dave Mycroft - see his review.

The competition's now come to an end and it's time the winners had the chance to play with Quo Pro for themselves. So, after a quick fanfare, drum roll, and a timely dash for the corkscrew, here they are:

  • James Allen - from Oxford

  • John Henson - from Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

  • John Matthews - from Wolverhampton

  • Richard Gavaghan - from Shipley, West Yorkshire

  • Peter Brooks - from Reading

  • Lynne Summerfield - from Bury

  • Susan Williams - from Sheffield

  • Ian Brown - from Cardiff

  • Graham Dodd - from Truro

  • Eleanor Nottingham - from Hartlepool

If you're on the list and are now showering champagne in random directions, Mapyx will be in touch shortly to arrange the prizes. (We reckon they'll probably manage to drop you a line if you aren't running a champagne shower, too:-)

If you weren't in luck this time round, there are still several competitions under way, the latest being ten pairs of tickets for a 'Psychovertical' evening with Andy Kirkpatrick. The last call has also gone out for the Vango competition, with a handy £280 of gear up for grabs. Last but not least, don't forget our monthly Bridgedale sock contest, which sees the month's best photographer earning cosy warm feet for their next mountain photo shoot.

That's all for now, but keep checking the OM competitions page, as we update it whenever a fit of generosity takes us:-)
