A Week In Blogs

Thanks to the column last week, Bearded Git and John Hee (thanks for the heads up guys) and a few more UK based Outdoors bloggers have made themselves known, so why not pop on over to:

and say hi?

This week Roman has been doing more film reviews, Resouled - On the Pacific Crest Trail, followed by discussing the arrival of the New Globetrotter 2007 catalog to give an interesting insight into the European outdoor market place.

I'm So Dave is nearing the end of his Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) walk while Alan Sloman is now over 12% through his own LEJOG pub crawl and has had to learn to deal with the major disappointment of two pubs being closed on the same day.

Aktoman was deep in thought at the weekend about comments made on blogs and where they fit in the whole order of things in the interweb universe. But soon after that he moved onto analysing his user stats and where visitors to his blog come from. Duncan has been posting an incredible amount this week on his blog, as well as intelligent comments in a discussion on the OM forums. But Duncan has also been ill this past week and we can see the side effects of too much day nurse with this posting about the new Backpackinglight podcast.

In Watchdog mode Dave has been championing the consumer with his rants against a couple of outdoor suppliers.

Andy Howell ponders the use of tarps on long hikes and then finds the ultimate Light Hiking blog over in the US. Will Andy change his mind and combine the two for the Challenge?

Cameron has been covering the Beauly-Denny Powerline Inquiry for those who have been following it.

Meanwhile, John Hee has been on a solo UK Outdoors Blogger Con 07 Roadshow - I still don't think he has managed to attract the groupie element he was hoping for tho' - which will end today at The Outdoors Show.

Finally Bearded Git has been adding some scans he has done from slides on his blog.

Happy reading folks.
