Berghaus Pro Rush Mid Winner

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

Pro Rush MidMany rain showers ago, in the misty reaches of April 2007, gear manufacturers Berghaus offered a free pair of hiking boots to a new member of OUTDOORSmagic. The prize up for grabs was a pair of Pro Rush Mids, which are part of Berghaus's latest range of outdoor footwear, and they're worth £90 - well worth having for the summer's fell walking.

The Mid Rush Pros - according to Berghaus - are "all terrain boots" with "a technology balance that enables agility and performance". They weigh in at 468g for a size 8 and include features such as an Ortholite sockliner, Gore-Tex XCR membrane, and Berghaus's own Opti-Stud system, new this season. They're also available in a women's version.

Between Berghaus and ourselves we've been a little tardy at awarding the prize, what with having so many hills to climb and boots to review in the meantime. Still, better late than never, and all that. We've finally drawn names out of the hat - everyone who joined the site in the month of April was automatically entered into the prize draw - and it's time to announce the winner. So, here goes. The OUTDOORSmagic member with the newest hiking boots next month will be ...

Richard Kirk from Newton Abbot

Apologies to all new members who missed out, but remember that we have a page full of competitions up and running on OUTDOORSmagic to make sure there are always some outdoor gear giveaways knocking around. Latest prizes include ten award-winning Haglofs Oz Pullovers, worth £165 each, a stash of Therm-a-Rests and Platypuses from Complete Outdoors, and four pairs of Teva Sunkosis worth £75 each. We also have several holidays up for grabs.

Entry is free to all OUTDOORSmagic members and all you have to do is answer a simple question - can't be bad. Good luck and we'll let you know when the next prize winners are drawn.
