BBC Team Filmed On Everest

Apologies if you've been inundated by streaming Everest videos, podcasts and information over the past few weeks, but here's a quick heads up that the BBC has been on Everest filming with the Xtreme Everest medical expedition.

The BBC team from science programme Horizon has been following the British medical expedition which, in addition to putting a lot of doctors and Sherpas on top of the highest point on earth, also conducted extensive medical experiments on the mountain.

On top of that, the expedition was heavily involved in the rescue of a woman Sherpa high on the mountain helping to save her life in the process.

The documentary will air in autumn 2007, but for now there are a few video clips on the BBC web site along with a blog from the Horizon guys.

See www.bbc.co.uk as well as the Xtreme Everest expedition's own site at www.xtreme-everest.co.uk.
