The Friday Matinee

If it's Friday - which it is - then it must be time for the Friday Matinee. Except this week it's a slightly different Friday matinee. More of a Friday Preview Matinee... [cue Pearl and Dean music].

What are we kind of previewing? It's the latest film from award-winning outdoors film-maker Alastair Lee which is due out in October. Called PSYCHE, in big capital letters, it's a one and a half hour epic featuring the best of British climbing including....

Dave Birkett's ascent of a new E8 6b trad' route called Skye Wall in the Skye Cuillin range. Andy Kirkpatrick and Ian Parnell tackling desperately hard alpine routes in Patagonian winter conditions plus sport climbing maestro Steve McClure crimping away on his numerous 9a routes.

On top of that you'll also find extras including footage from a Canadian road trip, the ridiculous 'Touching Myself' short first seen in Storms - The Movie and more.

But wait, where's the footage?

Steve McClure climbing Mutation, 9a...

Birkett on his new route, Skye Wall, in the Cuillins.... 'It's all, erm, scary...'

Parnell and Kirkpatrick contemplating climbing in Patagonia in winter ...

You can also catch all three clips in sharper, wider form at www.posingproductions.com

Patagonia clip / McClure clip / Skye Wall clip

Looks like another cracking Al Lee film. Like we said, available in October, price will be £19.99. Have a great weekend, we'll leave you to salivate over the clips :-)
