Sweden Comes To The Lakes

HaglofsAnyone heading up to the Lake District this weekend - 5th-6th October - might want to poke their head round the doors of the George Fisher gear shop in Keswick, where Haglofs are holding a festival of all things Swedish.

They'll be showing you their latest gear, which is always well worth a look, but there's a fun theme to the weekend as well. Apparently, they have 'displays, competitions, and Scandinavian nibbles' up their sleeves and although we haven't seen the menu, we can tell you that it was white wine and dried reindeer on sticks last time we met them. And we're only lying about the sticks ...

More seriously, Haglofs have come up with some interesting new gear in the last year, including the Oz Pullover, which won a Gold industry award, and which we reviewed on OUTDOORSmagic. And there's plenty more where that came from ...

If you want to see the range at first hand, the address is George Fisher Ltd., 2 Borrowdale Road, Keswick, Cumbria CA12 5DA.

Full details from Haglofs and George Fisher.
