If it's Friday then it must be time for the Friday Matinee, bringing you the latest high-adrenaline, outdoor action, to help while away the hours until the weekend.
This week it's so sunny that we're in seaside mode, but a mere ice cream and donkey ride won't quite do the job. So, here's some E1 climbing action from the Old Man of Hoy, one of the UK's most enticing sea stacks.
There are plenty of close-ups of the climb itself - not to mention a pretty special view from the top - and fortunately no footage at all of anyone clinging to the chockstone on the crux and whimpering:-)
Clinging on to the sea cliff theme, but cranking up the E grades a little, here's Dave Birkett repeating an E9 (6c) in Pembrokeshire. All we can say is, we'd rather him than us.
The footage comes courtesy of Posing Productions so head on over to their website for details of their latest adventure films.
Now we've spent some time on the rock, it's time to hit the water. Justine Curgenven filmed This is the Sea in an attempt to convince the world that sea kayaking was an exciting sport, not a placid, plodding one. Point made with gusto.
We aren't the only ones who were convinced so two more DVDs have followed, from production company Cackle TV. Here's a spot of footage from the latest, showing everything from weaving through a sea of floating ice to playboating in sea kayaks, to body rolling and even gymnastics in a boat - yes really.
That's it for this week. Enjoy the weekend now that it's finally sunny and there's no longer any need whatsoever to sit at home watching YouTube vids of mountains in the sunshine.
