The latest climbing extravaganza from Posing Productions, Psyche, is due to premiere at this year's Kendal Mountain Film Festival but if you can't wait that long, extracts are now available on the website.
The film is a collage of bonkers-hard fetes from all fields of climbing, so it should appeal whether you're into long Alpine routes, gut-wrenching exposure on trad routes, or sunny sport climbing in the Med.
Featured climbers include Andy Kirkpatrick, who recently pitted his wicked sense of humour against Torre Egger in Patagonia, in search of a first winter ascent of the peak. Watch a preview of his antics here.
Meanwhile, Dave Birkett's been flying the trad flag - as you'd expect - and this time his project is Skye Wall on the Cuillin Range in Skye - clue's in the name, and all that. The grade is E8 6b, so just a stroll in the park really for Dave. See how he gets on here.
And if all that sounds too cold and/or scary, Steve McClure's latest sport climbing fetes are well worth a look, although they aren't exactly lacking in the fear department either. The footage includes a peep at his array of '9a's on British limestone, including a Kilnsey crimpfest, it says here. Oh yes, and there's the small matter of an 8b at a French party ... See Steve in action here.
And if you haven't successfully whittled away Thursday afternoon yet, there's also a trailer on the site for the new US climbing film release, King Lines. It's filmed on location in - wait for it - Spain, France, California, Venezuela, Greece, Utah, and Mallorca, so it's something of a Euro-American climbing odyssey.
The film brings Chris Sharma's life as a nomadic professional climber under the microscope, as well as featuring some pretty hard-core footage of his contemporaries in action. All sounds good to us, just so long as we don't have to climb any of their routes:-)
And if you still haven't successfully wasted the rest of Thursday afternoon after watching that, unfortunately you're beyond our help, so back to the job you go!
