Paramo is coming to London at last with the opening
of an own-brand store in the heart of Covent Garden later this month
- October that is.
The new store is Paramo's first ever retail outlet and they're
working in partnership with climbing hardware retailer Rock On to
ensure that Londoners have easy access to the entire range of Paramo
mountain, country and travel wear, something that will come as a
welcome relief to a number of Lonodon-based OM members...

Paramo founder Nick Brown -
'an exciting challenge for us'
|
The new store is due to open to the public on Friday 26 October, 2007
at 29 Henrietta Street and should fill the Paramo gap due to a
shortage of independent retailers in London.
Paramo's unique directional clothing system is massively popular
with users and highly effective in UK conditions. The principles used
are based on animal fur which moves water outwards from the body.
Paramo is also highly ethical, with its waterproof garments being
produced by a charitable foundation in Colombia which provides
employment and skills for 'at risk' women.
Paramo's MD and Founder, Nick Brown - pictured here in
Bogota at the Miquelina Foundation's 30th birthday - is fully behind
the new store:
"This is an exciting challenge for us,' he says. "We are
absolutely delighted to be here and committed to give it 100% to make
it a success. Being in the heart of London will let us be closer to
many of our loyal customers and put our brand in front of very many
new ones."
Paramo Points
As well as the new shop, Paramo's also launching a new Paramo
Points Card whereby customers at the shop accumulate loyalty
points which they can use against future purchases in the store. On
top of that, the store is also lining up a number of special events
for card holders to help them enjoy their Paramo
purchases.
