Coleman Alpine 3093 HPX Stove

£35.00

Burns: resealable Butane / Propane cartridges

Time to boil 1 litre: 8 min 10 sec

Weight: 390g

An old favourite; non-nonsense gas stove which is slightly heavier than those that mount directly onto the cartridge, but makes up for it by being far more stable. A preheating loop improves performance in cold conditions but burner performance, in our tests, wasn't as efficient as the newer Go Gas designs.

Verdict: Reliable, stable, proven design, but a little slow
