Its the first week of May and as little plants and stuff poke their way blinking into the early summer sunlight, the OM Gallery is brimming over with some rather nice new images from the UK and abroad.
Jamie Bassnett - his nickname's too long for us to type - has been a busy bunny uploading some nice shots from a trip to the Ben and An Sgurr to his new album. If you haven't tackled Ben Nevis via the CMD arete then put it on your list of great walks - the views over to the North Face of the mountain are stunning and the ridgeline is defined but not terrifying...

Dartmoor's becoming a bit of a gallery fixture these days. Not only is Fossil Bluff still uploading some lovely images with a vengeance, but the Good Old Darty-moor album by Hols continues the theme this week with some nice images including a few cracking sun-sets. This is the photographer on Higher Hartor. Nice :-)

A bit further afield, Ben Cockwell's album of Falkland Photos also has the odd image from Patagonia. Well worth a look.

What is it with OMers and sun-sets? Alan Bellis has been updating his Mountain Travels 5 album with some shots from a wild camp on Moel Siabod. This is his view of Snowdon with the sun setting over the top, or is it rising? Whichever, it's rather nice...

Regular gallery browsers will associate Fossil Bluff with Dartmoor, but he's been wandering further afield as well with his Collection album
now featuring some Antarctic Huskies and this dramatic moon-lit tent on a glacier image. Now that's what we call wild camping :-)

Ace High's new album is as gentle as you'd expect with a title like Serendipity and is a rather nice mix of plantlife and architecture with some landscapes thrown in for good measure. Forum users who've wondered what on earth Bennachie looks like, here's your answer...

Last buy not least, Simon McDougal's album mixes some Scottish stunners with a bit of alpine action.

That's it for this week. Don't forget that all OMers have a free 3 MB of space to show off their outdoor images and there are more being added every day. Just check out the Latest Images page to see what's new and enjoy :-)
