'It's Like My Space For The Peak District'

A quick heads up for you on MyPeakExperience a new web site from the Peak District National Park which allows you to share your experiences of the area with others.

The Park Authority describes the site as a 'My Space' for national park users and it allows visitors to upload and share words, photos, video clips and audio files with others. You can also link in your existing images from Flickr or videos from YouTube and create a new page about anywhere you like in the Peak District.

The site is also accessible by internet-enabled mobile phones, so you could upload a photo as soon as you've taken it or browse through pages to learn more about where you are in the Peak.

The site's been up for around a month and there are already a fair few pages to look through and some nice images on display along with the odd video clip. There's even an interactive map application which you can add to your own web site or blog.

Anyway, a nice idea and well worth a look at www.mypeakexperience.org.uk. Be warned though, it is quite pink...
