Brasher's New Boot Hits The Shops

Gear news in association with
eVent Fabrics

Brasher's latest fabric hill-walking boot hits the shops this week in the shape of the Lairg GTX in both men's and women's versions.

The new boot is described as ' a classic fabric hillwalking boot' and 'perfect for walking in the British hills and valleys and on low level paths and trails' and promises 'out of the box comfort'.

The Lairg GTX features a 2.0mm suede upper with fabric panels and a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex liner for wading through puddles. The sole unit is Vibram and there's an EVA midsole to give a cushioned ride on harder surfaces and reduce weight.

It bears a visual resemblance to the well-received Borgue GTX leather boot, and we'd expect similar levels of cushioned comfort with a well-padded inner plus a lighter weight, but that's just speculation for now.

We should have a pair to review shortly, so more news then. Price for the Lairg GTX is £90. More details at www.brasher.co.uk
