Two New Headtorches From Primus

By Susan

PrimeLite family gets brighter and lighter:-)

PrimeLite Eye and PrimeLite Power Eye torchesIt’s been a productive year for the PrimeLite family, who have recently given birth to non-identical twins – the new PrimeLite Eye and PrimeLite Power Eye LED head torches.

Both headtorches weigh 60 grams, so it’s hard to identify a big brother, although the PrimeLite Power Eye might just have the edge on the grounds that it casts light to a distance of 86m, compared to 73m for the PrimeLite Eye.

Joking aside, they’re pretty light and include all the features you’d expect from a good quality head torch – water resistance, two levels of brightness, an SOS flash mode, and the likes. Also, the on-off button is handily recessed so you don’t switch it on in your pack by accident, and you have to hold it down for three seconds before the torch concludes you really mean it.

Battery time is 18 hours for both models and you only need two AAA batteries. As for the price, it’s 29.95 Euros for the Eye (34.95 Euros for the Power Eye), which translates to about £20 a few months ago, £28 tonight, and £35 by tomorrow, so get in there quickly:-) Don’t you love a credit crunch?

Full details on the Primus website.
