The big news from
Grangers
is that their
proofing
products, with the exception of their 2in1
Cleaner/Proofer, are now
air
cured, so there's no need for ironing or tumble drying.
Previously the proofing formula used by Grangers had to be heat
activated by either a tumble drier or by ironing, but now it's simply a
case of applying the proofer and leaving it to dry - just like Nikwax in fact.
Grangers says that the DWR treatment works just as well as before, but
is now simply easier to apply. The one exception is the 2in1
Cleaner/Proofer, which still needs to be heat treated.
Also new is a single footwear proofing product which can be used on
leather, suede and fabric boots and comes in either spray-on or dab-on
form. Previously there were three different types.
