Check out the pick of the outdoors images on the gallery this month.

Time for another virtual journey through some of the latest  images on the OUTDOORSmagic Gallery - somehow we've managed to skim right the way through August without a gallery visit, so it's long overdue. Anyway, here without any more ado are some of the best of the recent  images uploaded by OM members to their free 3MB of gallery space...

Here's one that topped the gallery chart for several weeks from Paul Burke. Meet Boo the border collie on his first day out on the fells. Check out Paul's album for some other nice Lakeland shots.

We had an inkling that OM regular Marcus Crompton was going to share a few more of his Slovenijan pics with us and some of them are simply stunning. You can find them in his Slovenija with KE album - it was hard to pick just one to show here, but we settled on 'Crib Goch's Big Daddy' as a nice looking ridge...

There's still plenty of atmosphere closer to home though. We like R Mac's shot of a frost, mist-wreathed Mamores...

John Henderson's High Street album does pretty much what it says on the box with a lovely mix of colours, seasons and some burned orange sky for good measure...

Alastair Seagroatt's obviously been on a trip across the big pond and his Yosemite album is the result. This is the area's best known peak, El Capitan looking, well, steep really.

And of course, no gallery round-up would be complete without a sun-set. This is by Hols from Wales's biggest forgotten peak, Cadair Idris.

Andrew Spink's been busy with Photoshop judging from his Painted Landscapes album which features technicolour people amid monochrome landscapes from Scotland to the Himalaya. The effect is sometimes weird, sometimes striking and maybe a profound comment on the relationship of man to his surroundings, or maybe not. Anyway, this is a view of Half Dome in Yosemite again...

We're not quite sure what to say about this, but a little bird tells us that these are OM members courtesy of That Blonde Woman... and there are more where that came from :-)

Last but very definitely not least, regular forum users might be aware that Lindsay Kelsey's husband Dave recently died in a tragic fall from Jack's Rake in the Lake District. Lindsay, who isn't a hill-goer herself came onto the OM forum to try and understand Dave's passion for the mountains and in the process, brought out the very best in the OM members who responded to her. She very kindly shared some images of her husband palpably happy in the hills. I think I speak for everyone on OM in passing on our condolences and heartfelt best wishes.

That's it for this week. Don't forget that all OMers have a free 3 MB of space to show off their outdoor images and there are more being added every day. Just check out the Latest Images page to see what's new and enjoy :-)
