We've been in Switzerland this week having a peek at the country courtesy of Switzerland Tourism and spent the last couple of days in Interlaken, the nearest main town to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. There's been lots of Swiss efficiency, Swiss chocolate and stunning Swiss scenery, but like most OMers, the highlight for us was the chance to take a look at the legendary Eiger Nordwand in the flesh.

Step one was a ride up to the Jungfraujoch - an extraordinary high mountain tourism park - first on the rack and pinion railway to Kleine Sheidegg then on the Jungfrau train which picks an extraordinary course through the Eiger before finally arriving at the Jungfraujoch at 3300 metres or so...

Glad you enjoyed it. Get away from the tourists (it's quite easy, actually) and the Jungfrau region is fantastic. Looking at your photos, the weather is pretty good, which is always a bonus!
