Everest Summit In The OM Gallery

Holiday snaps with a difference as OUTDOORSmagic member Conan Harrod's gallery album takes us from base camp to the top of the world :-)

We get some fantastic images uploaded to the OUTDOORSmagic gallery every week, but it's not often that they happen to be a pictorial record of a successful ascent of Everest, but that's what Conan Harrod's 'Big Mountain Taster Session' album is all about.

Conan, if you didn't know, is a bona fide OUTDOORSmagic member, who a couple of years back survived a broken leg high on Everest when an American climber fell on top of him triggering a fraught retreat to base camp helped by other climbers.

Undaunted, Conan - appropriately known as 'Survivor' on the OM forum - returned to the mountain this spring just weeks after marrying fellow OM member Lindsay, and this time successfully summited the world's highest mountain.

Anyway, enough blather, here are just a few of Conan's amazing pics, you find the full album here in the OM Gallery. And don't forget, as an OM member, you have 3MB of space to upload your own outdoors images.

Yes, they make their baths big at base camp, erm, not.

In the mountains, there I can be alone.

Aye well, when I were a lad, we were lucky if football pitch were as flat as this.

.

wow...

That'll be the North Col camp site. Busy eh?

Getting there...

And yes, one very happy man

Thanks Rowan,

Won't say anything now but for those on the site who have met me, can you spot anything strange about the summit photo?
