This week's Friday Matinee brings you classic Lake District scramble footage. Enjoy.
If it's Friday - and it certainly is - it must be time for the
Friday Matinee, our
regular selection of streaming mountain videos. This week's theme is
Lake District scrambling, so lace up your virtual boots and get your
hands on some digital rock...
We've shown you this one before, but as it's arguably one of the best
scrambles in the Lakes, a nice video, and pleasingly dramatic with it,
we thought we'd feature it again. This is
Pinnacle Ridge on
St.Sunday Crag. One for the tick-list, if you have one...

Slightly more accessible, but still nicely dramatic, this is
Jack's Rake on Pavey
Ark above Langdale. Short and snappy but a lovely situation on a lovely
mountain.

Another absolute classic here in the form of
Sharp Edge, a gem of
an approach to Blencathra in the northern Lakes. Note the slanty
section, slippery when wet...
And while we're on
Blencathra,
okay, not a scramble, but we couldn't resist this beautiful inversion
video. Just lovely...
And finally, how could you focus on Lake District scrambles without
including
Striding Edge
on Helvellyn?
And that's your lot for this week. Enjoy.
