Outdoors streaming video, this week dancing backpackers, cycling rap and a web challenge.
If it's Friday, which it undoubtedly is, then it must be time for the
Friday Matinee, our
regular selection of outdoors-orientated, streaming video to help you
pass the time before the weekend arrives.
This week we've abandoned themed topics in favour of anarchic
randomness, some dancing, some cycling and some serious adventure
generation in the north east.
To kick things off, you'll either love this or hate it, it made us
laugh. This is what happens when backpackers go stir crazy on the
trail, yep, dancing.... erm, the dancing backpacker in fact.
And I guess that while we're doing dancing, we should pop up the
classic 'Where The Hell is Matt?' clip for anyone who hasn't seen it or
wants a nostalgic reminder. Did you know that the Salar de Uyuni in
Bolivia - the white salt lake in the video - is apparently full of
lithium, which could revolutionise the Bolivian economy? Well, you do
now. Ah, that's in
the
other Matt video. Love the start of that thing.
And the music.
And if that wasn't random enough, here's one for all the competitive
road cyclists out there, again with some added dancing - hang on, this
wasn't supposed to be themed, rats...
Last but not least, here's something a bit more serious. Twitchhiker
has been taking advantage of the
North East Adventure Generator
and
chronicling the things it made him do. Here's Day Three...
And that's it for this week, mind those deadly fire roads and have a
good weekend.
