If it's Friday then it's indubitably time for the Friday
Matinee, our weekly helping of empty hour filling streaming video to
ease your way into the weekend.
This week, since it's a while since we've done it, we thought we'd have
a 'mountains from the air' day with footage from flights over big spiky
things.
To kick things off, here's some footage of the
Pamirs taken from a
Tajik Air flight Khorog to Dushanbe. Interesting.
And after that gentle entree, it's on to the biggies for main course,
here's
Mount Everest
from a commercial flight over the range.
Closer? How about flying around Everest on a sight-seeing flight from
Kathmandu? Ace shots from the cockpit in the second half of the clip.
And how about the
Andes,
this is spectacularly beautiful footage from a
Chile to Argentina flight. Wow.
And last but not least, a bit closer too home, this is the West
Highland Way from the air, Glencoe stars. If you don't want the history
lesson, hit the mute button now...
That's it for this week, lots more aerial stuff on YouTube and other
online video sites.
