Wow, inversions, snow, more inversions and even a Brocken Spectre, here's the latest from the OM Gallery

If you haven't been over to the OUTDOORSmagic Gallery recently, now's a good time for a quick browse through the latest images. People are just starting to upload pictures from Christmas and New Year trips into the hills and, as you might expect, some of the results are simply lovely with a lot of snowy clearness, awesome sun-sets and the odd inversion to whet your appetite.

Don't forget, all OM members, have three free megabytes of gallery space to share their pics with the world, so if you've got some lovely shots burning a  hole in your hard disc, then get on over and upload them today :-)

World Turned Upside Down

TrickyD spent New Year over on Cadair Idris with some fantastic atmospheric results, including a spectacular inversion and a rare Brocken Spectre - the whole album's worth a look, but here's that Brocken Spectre for you....

Carneddau Views

More good stuff from Marcus Crompton, this time slightly further north with views looking from the Carnedds into central Snowdonia, this is the classic view of the Ogwen Valley from Pen yr Ole Wen.

On Starav

Heading north of the border, Adrian Kay spent Hogmany on Ben Starav and produced some lovely shots in the process with more inversions. We like this shot of ridge walking above the clouds, but the rest of the album is well worth checking out too.

Looking South

More Hogmany shots from Ayshire Tiger, this is the view south from the southeast ridge of Beinn Tulaichean. You've got to love those sun flares, nice :-)

Black Mountains Looking White

Imperial Dave's been in the well-frosted Black Mountains and they look lovely. This is the view towards Pen y Fan - but the rest of the album's rather lovely too :-)

Wildcamp!

Alan Bellis has been wild-camping at Llyn Edno and reeping the rewards in terms of photos. This is the sunset from his campsite, which isn't bad at all...

More Inversions...

More cloud in the valley with clear tops from Dave Moore, we're not sure exactly where, but hey, it looks good to use wherever it is.

A Dog With A Camera...

The Littlest Hobo is back, this time with photographic equipment and a bike... Just step off the edge onto the nice, soft blanket of clouds.... Cross Fell if you were wondering.

And One More For Luck...

Something a little more foreign from Ed H. This is, erm, we're not sure, but we like it anyway. Happy New Year :-)

And that's it for now. Plenty more where those came from in the OM Gallery, Happy New Year and enjoy :-)
