You've seen the witches' hats, the skeletons, the bedsheet ghosts, and the trick-or-treaters - now it's time reveal October's Photo of the Month winner, along with all the rest of the week's best pics.
You've seen the witches' hats, the skeletons, the bedsheet ghosts, and the trick-or-treaters - now it's time to add the icing to the cake and reveal October's Photo of the Month winner. This month's top pic is a bit different from the last two - we've done stunning sunsets and panoramas, so now it's time for a people photo, with two very happy-looking OMers enjoying a day on the coast. Good stuff.
Matt's photo wins him three pairs of Trekker socks, courtesy of Bridgedale, while runner-up, Neil Higgins, takes home a couple of pairs for his photo 'Romanticide'.

Now for a look at the rest of the week's photos. It's another 'British Hills' kind of week but with one more distant location - Iceland. Lee Hiom's uploaded several shots from his holiday there and you can find them in the Travel Pics album, which is big on colour variations. The photos range from the luminous green of the Northern Lights to some atmospheric black and white photography, with a few snowy ones in between...

Andrew Terrill's Running, the Album is fleshing out nicely, after its birth a couple of weeks back. It's an 'open' album, which means that all OMers are invited to submit their photos. So, if you have any favourite pics from your last fell run or adventure race, upload them here.

We've browsed Andy's Share the Fell Walking Experience more times than we've backed off rock climbs or unintentionally bought yet another new piece of gear, but we can't seem to stop coming back for more ...

Hamish has been in atmospheric mode as well, with this shot of Crib Goch in all its early morning, knife-edged glory. His The H album isn't short on striking and unusual photos. Inside, you'll find pretty much everything from pics of Striding Edge to Shield Beetles, Hebridean beaches to pigs sticking their heads over fences, and lofty Tryfan to the silhouetted 'Mountain Man'.

Greg Kaye decided to wait until the sky was clear and blue before adding to his Fellraven's Photos album. It's small but stunning, with some super wild camping, a lofty shot of the Alps, and some good old British hillsides at twilight.

That's it for this week. In the traumatic scenario that your photo wasn't voted 'Photo of the Month', fear not, there's another competition this month. Any photo in the gallery is automatically a contender, and the prize is five pairs of trekking socks, split between the winner and runner-up, courtesy of ...
