Site regulars will probably know about the planned OUTDOORSmagic
Snowdonia meet-up, well, the good news is that it happened, we had
probably the warmest weekend of the year so far and it was

The Cannon on Tryfan's classic
North Ridge

Some nine OUTDOORSmagic-ers plus myself and Sal met up on a
campsite near a pub, sorry, near Capel Curig, on Friday night after
organising everything through the new meets section of the forum.
Curiously the mad axed murderer some were expecting never turned up
and equally oddly, Richard Gear, was forced to attend a family
wedding, so couldn't make it.
So what was it like? In a word, brilliant, Saturday was bright and
hot - maybe too hot - and we slithered over the classic North Ridge
of Tryfan, Bristly Ridge, Glyders and down to Idwal circuit before
collapsing in the pub.

Going up...

Sunday was a gentler stroll up a warm but cloudy Moel Siabod. It
was a top weekend in the hills and a great way of putting names to
faces - thanks to everyone who came along. And if you missed it?
Never mind, we're going to do it again soon, probably in the Lake
District.
In the mean time, you can always use the Meets
and Partners section of the forum to organise your own trip or
look for climbing and walking partners. Just leave the axe behind
eh?
