A rapid root through some of our favourite streaming video clips of the year - ace :-)
If it's Friday - and it is - then it must be time for the
Friday Matinee,
except this isn't just any Friday, this is the last Friday before
Christmas, so we thought we'd have a sweep back through some of our
previous weeks and pick out a few of the best to round off the year :-)
This was only the other week, it's some guys climbing Slav Route on Ben
Nevis and it really is spectacularly beautiful. The music works too, so
turn up the volume.
This was possibly the scariest thing we saw on YouTube all year. It's
Dean Potter doing the highline traverse on Lost Arrow Spire in Yosemite
without a safety line - it's the same one Leo Houlding walked for the
Berghaus cinema commercial and fell off loads... frightening stuff.
A bit of a different angle on things from the Swiss air force and
again, one where you might want to turn the volume up for some alpine
aerial action. Just incredible...
This one is legendary, it's American climber Dan Osman speed climbing
Lover's Leap and scarily, it's not speeded up...
But hey, who needs mountains when you have a wheel, this is free ride
unicyclist Kris Holm doing some pretty mad things...
Ah, talking of mad, remember Dean Potter? Now imagine him soloing the
Nose of El Capitan. And now watch him do it, gulp...
Hmmm, we could just go on and on with this... if all the previous
stuff's left you a bit washed out though, here's something a bit more
'feel good' to cap the week. Yep, 'where the hell is Matt', puts a
smile on our faces, every time :-)
Have an absolutely brilliant Christmas and see ya in the New Year :-)
