The Friday Matinee

More lunatic streaming video with bridge jumping, waterfall climbing and that mad walkway again...

It's Friday and that means just one momentous thing, well, one thing anyway and that can only be The Friday Matinee, our weekly helping of streaming video clips to help you count down the empty hours before the weekend.

This week there is no theme, well, there is, it's sort of mad things, but there you go. First off, a few weeks back we ran a clip of the mental walkway at El Chorro. It was built so the Spanish King could go for a gentle, scenic amble along the side of the gorge, but over the years it's gradually deteriorated to the point where it's officially closed, however it's still used by climbers to reach certain routes in the gorge... Anyway, the original clip disappeared from YouTube. but here's a replacement...

Remember speed climber Dan Osman? The guy who you may remember from numerous YouTube clips? Well, if you thought ghyll scrambling in the Lakes was, erm, adventurous. Here's Dan taking it to a whole new level climbing a waterfall. No, not waterfall ice, a waterfall... Mad.

More domestically, Berghaus-sponsored athlete Rob Jarman, who's a mountain bike freerider and stuntman gets his kicks in a slightly unusual way, but who on earth is that jumping off a bridge with him? All we're saying is, erm, Berghaus press office...

And while we're featuring the Jarman fella, what sort of lunatic would ride a mountain bike down the Lillehammer bob sleigh run, ahem...

Don't try that at home kids, you could make a nasty dent in your breakfast bar.

Have a good weekend :-)
