From New Zealand to Rumania via Scotland, the OUTDOORSmagic gallery is a virtual romp through the world's mountain scenery - we catch up on some of the latest images.
It's always worth keeping an eye on the latest pics in the
OUTDOORSmagic
gallery - it's like a living record of OM life with some
great shots of the British hills, the odd quirky snap-shot of OM
Meet-Up goings on.
Arguably best of all are some of the overseas images which are
simply stunning and take in everywhere from the Alps to the
Himalayas, it's a great way of seeing where fellow OMers have been
and getting inspiration for your next big trip - and if you're
planning one, check out the OM
Travel Section for more inspiration and information.
Anyway, we thought we'd highlight a few of the recent gallery
additions for your viewing pleasure. Please don't smoke or eat crisps
in the auditorium...
Hello New Zealand :-)
Robin Turton's obviously been off down under and come back with
some stunning shots of kiwiland. We love this view of Milford Sound
below and you can find more in his New
Zealand album.
Closer To Home...
John Fitzpatrick hasn't been quite so far from home, but the
latest shots in his Weekend
Walks album are just as inspirational in their own way. We
love this short of Wild Boar fell complete with sun burst effect, who
needs air travel anyway? Oooh, misty and atmospheric seems to be
today's theme then...
North Of The Border
We had one of Rob Sutherland's shots of Skye on the front page
recently and his Travels
With Rob album is small but perfectly formed
with some really glorious shots including this one of Embo Bridge in
Sutherland on an early winter evening. Wow :-)
Rumanian Peaks...
Of course, one of the great things about the web is that it's
international and if you were wondering about Rumania's mountain
scenery then Marian Radu's Piatra
Craiului album should give you some idea - and judging by
this shot, it looks pretty damn good... This is the north ridge by
the way and looking positively alpine. There's lots more in Marian's
Bucegi
Mtns - Romania album as well.
Hello Norway...
Ever had a yearning to check out Scandinavia's mountain scenery?
Then you'll be wanting Matt Carter's Norway Trollheimen Aug
'04 collection with some lovely landscapes captured like this one
below...
We could go on and with an astonishing 3750 images in the gallery
right now, it wouldn't be difficult. Your best bet though is to go
along and have a browse. There's a search facility if you're after
something in particular, or just wander round at random and see what
grabs you.
And of course, you can always upload your own images. All OM
members have 3MB of space for their own shots with full details of
how to use the gallery in the User
Guide. Enjoy :-)
