Wet Wasdale Weekend Part II

OMers up to the gills in a rum deal

While Jon D and Alex opted for the easy stroll up Kirk Fell, the OUTDOORSmagic Sca Fellers threw caution to the wind, laughed in the face of the rain, and stared down the raging torrents to make a spirited jaunt up Piers Gill to the Sca Fells, with an offshoot team of Jeannie and Dave nipping up and over Lingmell, and narrowly missing winning the Fell Race by a couple of hours. The weather may have been something less than perfect, but at least it helped to put the Paramo test kit through its paces.

Phil sets the pace as the Sca Fellers depart in deceptively mild conditions.

Bob does his famous Frasier impression

Jon C was determined to wear his new sunglasses, no matter how dark it was on Sca Fell Pike summit. Si K finally gets into shot on the right. And who’s that other bloke on the left?

We are from the Planet Paramo – take us to your leader. Si C demonstrates his belt buckle Maglite on Sca Fell summit after an illicit ascent of Lords Rake and the entertaining West Wall Traverse – it was all Andy’s idea if the authorities are reading.

Marvellous, simply marvellous!

As usual, Simon K's shining wit made me giggle - some of the subtle humour hidden in the comments may be lost on anyone who wasn't there, but they are a wonderful reminder of a great day spent in great company.

Yeah, and if you don't get the humour, maybe you need to come on the next meet and join in on the fun!

Shining wit? Subtle humour? I was being deadly serious! Especially about the Frasier impression...

Now, if anyone wants to see the out-takes, email me off list - I'm open to bribery and corruption...
